Athlete's Foot

Description
A common Infection, Athlete’s foot results from the growth of a fungus, usually between the toes of infected individuals. As the name suggests, this condition is most common in athletes, whose warm, moist socks and shoes provide the perfect setting for fungal growth.

Initially, the sufferer will notice Itching and Inflammation in the webbing between toes. This will eventually progress to a white fungal growth with a distinctive odour.

The best prevention and treatment for Athlete’s foot is to maintain good personal hygiene, with clean, dry feet, socks and shoes. Special powders can be bought over the counter for further treatment.
